Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken objects, mainly pottery. It's done by repairing the damaged areas with precious metals. The process treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than disguising or occluding the repair. Everything in the world breaks no matter how much we care for it. Be it nations, emotions, utilities, or the simplest of physical objects. Rather than hoping for what could have been or wishing things had gone differently just mend the damage with something more beautiful than the original and let its story remain to learn from.

This has been my longest-running project so far. Started it around 4 years ago and it’s had 9 entirety different texture setups and environments. I have been working on it, not getting the result I wanted, abandoning it, and then picking it back up since. It seems appropriate for the idea behind it! ( and of course I now finally have enough VRAM to actually be able to render the scene).
